If you like amateur lady sleuths and bygone eras then give my books a try! I love writing murder mysteries in which plucky heroines solve the crime. Whether it’s the 1880s or the 1920s, these ladies must rely on their wits – no detailed forensics or technology to help them out!

The Penny Green series follows the ups, downs and investigations of Victorian news reporter Penny Green. As one of the first lady news reporters on Fleet Street, she has her work cut out.

The Augusta Peel series is set in 1920s London and features a reclusive book repairer who is encouraged to become an amateur sleuth by a colleague she spied with in Belgium during World War I. Not only is Augusta a skilled sleuth, she’s also a lady with a past…

The Churchill and Pemberley cozy mystery series features senior sleuthing duo Annabel Churchill and Doris Pemberley. With a combined age of 140 and a penchant for cake and slapstick mishaps, they somehow manage to outwit the local village constabulary.

I also write fun, cozy mysteries under the pen name, Martha Bond.

I’ve been a full-time author since 2017 and have written over thirty books. Born in Yorkshire, I grew up in the south of England. I got hooked on mysteries at a young age when I came across Agatha Christie’s books in my local library. I studied and worked in London where many of my stories are set. London’s architecture and history has always fascinated me, and I’ll happily spend hours geeking over old maps and historical newspapers. I live in Berkshire with my husband and teenage children. When I’m not writing and researching, I enjoy running, walking my dog and drawing.
